ShopHighSpeed is free to read because some links earn a commission and some pages show ads. This page explains how both work. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
If you sign up or buy through a link on this site, the company may pay us a commission. You pay the same price. Commissions don't affect rankings, scores or what we say. Rankings follow our published method, and apply to every provider equally.
Affiliate links
An affiliate link is an ordinary link with a tracking code that tells the company we sent you. It doesn't change the price, plan, promotion or terms you're offered. You see the same offer you'd get by going to the company's site directly. Gear picks link to retailers, including Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, ShopHighSpeed earns from qualifying purchases.
Ads
Some pages show banner ads from our affiliate partners. Each ad is labeled "Advertisement", and we only place a brand's ad on a page whose content supports it, such as a guide that recommends that brand. Ads are kept separate from rankings and editorial content.
Our partnerships
We work with phone carriers, internet providers and retailers through their affiliate programs. Partner links are tracked and disclosed, follow each program's terms, and send readers to the partner's current official offer. We also cover providers we have no partnership with, so readers can compare every option available at their address.
What commissions don't affect
Rankings, scores out of 10, our picks, whether a provider is included, and what we say about it. Commission rates aren't part of the scoring method. A provider that pays more doesn't move up a list, and no company can pay to be added, removed or reworded.
Every score follows the same published method, and every price shows the date it was checked, so readers and partners can see how a ranking was reached. Guides are written and edited by Jean Gilles, our founder and editor.
How prices are sourced
Prices and typical speeds come from each plan's FCC Broadband Facts label and the provider's own plan pages, and each page shows when we checked them. Pricing varies by address, promotion and bundle, so treat every figure as a starting point and confirm with the provider before you sign up.
Editorial independence
Our editorial content is written independently of our partners, and partners don't approve rankings before publication. We welcome corrections to prices, plans and terms from anyone, including partners; we verify them against the official offer, update the page and note the change.
