One person writes this site. Here’s who, and what the numbers are based on.
ShopHighSpeed is independently run. Coverage data comes from federal filings, not from providers, and nobody pays for placement or a better ranking.
Jean founded ShopHighSpeed after trying to find one straight answer about business internet in his own town. He has been a Comcast and Verizon Fios customer, and builds the site’s rankings from the availability data providers file with the FCC rather than from provider marketing.
Where I haven’t used a service myself, I say so on the page. No one has personally tested every provider in every city, and claiming otherwise would make the rest of the site harder to trust.

How this site works
Which providers serve which places is drawn from the FCC’s Broadband Data Collection — the availability reports carriers are legally required to file. It is the same source regulators use.
A provider reported in your ZIP or town may not reach your exact address. Anywhere the data can’t confirm service at a specific address, the page says so rather than implying certainty.
Advertised rates move, promotional periods expire and fees vary by address. Confirm the final price with the provider before you sign anything.
Some links earn a commission if you sign up or buy, at no cost to you. That never changes a ranking, and rankings are built from the filed data before any commercial relationship is considered. For more information, see our Advertiser disclosure.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong — a provider listed where it doesn’t operate, a price that’s out of date, a town missing a service — email corrections@shophighspeed.com and I’ll fix it and note the change.
