The short answer
Before blaming your provider, work top to bottom: reboot the router, test on a wired connection to rule out Wi-Fi, check whether one device or app is hogging bandwidth, and confirm you haven't hit a data cap. Most slowdowns are fixed in minutes without a new plan.
