The best wireless keyboards and mice of 2026
Five keyboards and mice for work and home, and what to do when your wireless mouse stutters.
The Logitech MX Keys S and MX Master 3S are the best keyboard and mouse for most people, and they switch between three computers. The Logitech Pebble 2 Combo is the budget pick. If your mouse lags, move its USB receiver away from your router and USB 3 ports.

Quick picks
The picks
Logitech MX Keys S
Quiet, backlit keys, USB-C charging and an easy switch between three computers or tablets.
No mechanical-key feel; see the Keychron if you want that.
Logitech MX Master 3S
A comfortable right-handed mouse with a fast scroll wheel, a thumb wheel and quiet clicks. It tracks on glass.
Too big for small hands, and right-handed only.
Logitech Pebble 2 Combo
A slim, quiet keyboard and mouse that switch between three devices, for about the price of one MX product.
Basic keys with no backlight.
Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID
Touch ID for passwords and Apple Pay on a Mac with Apple silicon.
Touch ID only works on Macs, and it costs more than the MX Keys S.
Keychron K2
A compact wireless mechanical keyboard with Mac and Windows keycaps and a choice of switches.
Taller than a laptop keyboard, so a wrist rest helps.
Why wireless mice lag
Most wireless mice use the same 2.4 GHz band as your Wi-Fi. A busy router nearby, or a USB 3 port next to the receiver, can cause stutters and dropped clicks.
If you game, use the mouse's USB receiver rather than Bluetooth. The receiver has lower lag; Bluetooth is better for battery life and switching devices.
- Move the receiver: use a USB extension so it sits a few inches from the computer and near the mouse
- Use the front ports: keep the receiver away from USB 3 drives and hubs
- Try Bluetooth: or move your devices to the router's 5 GHz Wi-Fi band
How we picked
We compared published lab tests, owner reports and maker specs, and ranked on:
- Comfort and key feel
- Multi-device switching
- Battery life and charging
- Price
More on our process is in how we research.
Others we considered
- Logitech MX Master 4: The newer model; worth it on sale, but the 3S does the same job for most people.
- Logitech MX Anywhere 3S: A smaller travel mouse.
- Microsoft Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse: A cheap, comfortable option.
Questions
Is Bluetooth or a USB receiver better?
A receiver is steadier and faster. Bluetooth frees a port and switches devices more easily.
Can a wireless mouse slow my Wi-Fi?
Not noticeably. The interference usually runs the other way.
How long do the batteries last?
Weeks to months for rechargeable keyboards with the backlight off, and up to two years for AA-powered mice.
