Our verdict

Verizon's Fios Business plans run 300 Mbps for $69/mo, 500 Mbps $99, 1 Gig $149 and 2 Gig $179, each $5 less with AutoPay and paper-free billing, plus taxes, fees and equipment. All are on a 2-year term that auto-renews.

Frontier is now part of Verizon, so in Frontier areas the equivalent product is Frontier Business Fiber.

What Verizon Business sells

Speeds and terms

The 1 Gig plan tops out at 940 Mbps down and 880 Mbps up; the other tiers are fully symmetrical, and 2 Gig is offered only in limited areas. All published prices are on a 2-year term that auto-renews, plus taxes, fees and equipment, and Auto Pay with paper-free billing takes $5/mo off.

Router

Unlike AT&T, Verizon doesn't include a router on Fios Business: buy one or rent it for $18/mo. Budget for it when you compare prices.

5G Business Internet and static IPs

Where Fios doesn't reach, 5G Business Internet starts at $69/mo for 100 Mbps, with 200 and 400 Mbps tiers, and is cheaper with an eligible business phone line. Static IPs are an add-on on Fios Business; Verizon doesn't publish the price, and a /29 block gives 5 usable addresses.

Who it's for

Offices in the Fios footprint that want symmetrical fiber and long price guarantees, and don't mind a 2-year term. Verizon also now owns Frontier, so compare Frontier Business Fiber in its areas. For no-contract fiber, see AT&T Business Fiber.

Verizon business phone plans

Verizon sells business phone lines alongside Business Fios and 5G Business Internet, and discounts some phone plans when you also have Business Fios.

Verizon is worth the higher price where its signal is clearly the strongest at your business or on your routes. For price per line, T-Mobile and AT&T are cheaper at four lines or more. Compare all four carriers in our best business phone plans guide.

Verizon Fios Business vs. AT&T Business Fiber: which is better?

Both are fiber with symmetrical uploads. Fios is limited to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic; AT&T covers more states. Where both reach you, compare the price after the first year. Read our AT&T Business Fiber review.
