NOW Internet
Xfinity's prepaid brand: $30/mo all-in for unlimited 100 Mbps, no credit check and no contract.
NOW Internet plans at a glance
Our verdict
NOW is Comcast's prepaid brand, and it's the most honest pricing on the Xfinity network: $30/mo for unlimited 100 Mbps or $45 for 200 Mbps, with taxes, fees and the gateway already in the number. No promo period, no year-two step-up, no credit check.
The catch is the ceiling. 200 Mbps down and 23 Mbps up is the whole menu, and heavy uploaders or gigabit households will outgrow it immediately. But it's a real wired connection at 21 ms — steadier under load than the 5G plans it's priced against.
For renters, students, anyone rebuilding credit, or a household that just wants a bill that never changes, this is one of the best-value plans in the country. Just know you can't upgrade past 200 Mbps without moving to regular Xfinity.

Frequently asked
What does NOW Internet cost?
$30/mo for 100 Mbps or $45/mo for 200 Mbps. Both are prepaid, include the gateway, and have taxes and government fees built into the price — it isn't an introductory rate.
Is there a credit check or contract?
Neither. NOW is prepaid with no term contract and no credit check, and you can pause and resume service whenever you like. AutoPay and paperless billing are required, and payments must be made by credit, debit or prepaid card.
How fast is it really?
Xfinity publishes typical speeds of 117 Mbps down on the 100 Mbps plan and 234 Mbps on the 200 Mbps plan, both at 23 Mbps up and 21 ms latency. Data is unlimited with no overage charges.
How does NOW compare to 5G home internet?
It's a wired cable connection, so speeds and latency hold steadier at peak hours than fixed wireless. The trade is the ceiling — 5G plans from T-Mobile and Verizon can go faster on a good signal.
Can I get a phone plan too?
NOW Mobile is prepaid wireless sold only to Xfinity or NOW Internet customers, with no commitments or credit checks. It's bought separately rather than bundled into one flat price.
Is NOW Internet the same as Xfinity prepaid?
Yes. NOW Internet (also called NOW by Xfinity) is Comcast's prepaid home internet, running on the Xfinity network. It's $30/mo for 100 Mbps with taxes, fees and equipment included, no credit check and no contract. If you search for "Xfinity prepaid" or "Comcast prepaid internet," this is the service. Compare it with other options in the best prepaid internet and Xfinity's regular plans.
