How much is Kinetic after 12 months?

Kinetic's fiber prices are some of the lowest around. Most of them are promotional, and Kinetic doesn't publish the rate you'll pay afterward.

The short answer

On most plans, Kinetic's promotional price ends after 12 months (some last two or three years) and the bill moves to Kinetic's standard rate. Kinetic doesn't publish that rate or warn you before it applies. On entry plans the increase is typically $15 to $18 a month, and an earlier 100 Mbps promotion doubled from $24.99 to $49.99.

What changes after the promotion

  • The promotional credit ends. Kinetic's advertised prices include a credit that offsets the gap to the standard rate for 12 months on most plans, and longer on some.
  • The AutoPay credit stays. The AutoPay discount lasts as long as you stay enrolled, so keep it on.
  • No reminder. Kinetic doesn't send notice before the promotion ends. Note your start date.
  • Equipment and add-ons. Wi-Fi equipment leases for about $11/mo unless you use your own, and add-ons such as cellular backup and security are extra.

How big is the increase?

Kinetic sets standard rates by market, so there's no single answer. Reviews of current plans put the increase on entry plans at $15 to $18 a month. Kinetic's earlier 100 Mbps fiber promotion went from $24.99 to $49.99 after a year. Call before you sign up and ask for the standard rate at your address in writing.

How to keep the bill down

  • Set a reminder for a month before your promotion ends, then call and ask to move to a current promotion or a cheaper plan.
  • Use your own router if your plan allows it, to avoid the equipment lease.
  • If you have AT&T Wireless, ask about Kinetic's $20/mo discount for AT&T Wireless customers.
  • Compare competitors at your address before you renew; see how to negotiate a price increase.

How Kinetic compares

Most fiber providers now hold prices for longer. AT&T Fiber uses ongoing rates rather than 12-month promotions, Frontier guarantees prices for four or five years, and gFiber says its 1 Gig price hasn't changed since 2012. Kinetic's promotional price can still be the cheapest in year one, so compare the two-year total. See the 2026 Price Lock Index and our Kinetic review.
