NBA League Pass price 2026-27: plans, free trial, blackouts and where to buy
Prices are unchanged from last season. What each plan includes, which games are on ESPN, NBC, Peacock and Prime Video instead, and the cheapest way to watch your team.
NBA League Pass costs $16.99 a month or $109.99 for the 2026-27 season. League Pass Premium, with no commercials and three streams at once, is $24.99 a month or $159.99. Team Pass covers one team for $13.99 a month. League Pass only shows out-of-market games: your local team and national games on ESPN, ABC, NBC, Peacock and Prime Video are blacked out live. It's no longer sold on YouTube TV; buy it in the NBA app, on Prime Video Channels or through a TV provider such as DISH.
Prices are the NBA's US list prices before taxes, from the sources listed below. Prices differ outside the US and on some billing platforms.
NBA League Pass plans and prices
| Plan | Monthly | Season | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| League Pass | $16.99 | $109.99 | Every out-of-market game, live or on demand, with commercials; one stream at a time |
| League Pass Premium | $24.99 | $159.99 | Adds in-arena feeds instead of commercials, three streams at once, offline downloads and multiview |
| Team Pass | $13.99 | Monthly only* | One out-of-market team's games all season |
| NBA TV | $8.99 | Monthly only | The 24/7 NBA channel and its live games; included free with League Pass bought from the NBA |
*DISH sells Team Pass for $90 a season and League Pass for $110, payable in four installments on the DISH bill.
Monthly or season?
The regular season runs from October 20, 2026 to mid-April 2027. Paying monthly for that whole stretch comes to about $102 for League Pass (six months at $16.99) and about $150 for Premium, a little under the season prices. The season pass mainly saves you from remembering to cancel. If you start later in the season, monthly is clearly cheaper. Play-In and playoff games air on national TV, not League Pass, so there's no reason to keep paying after the regular season.
What each plan includes
League Pass ($16.99/mo)
Up to about 40 out-of-market games a week, live or on demand, with the home or away broadcast, condensed games, full replays and live radio calls. One device can stream at a time. NBA TV is included if you buy direct from the NBA.
League Pass Premium ($24.99/mo)
Everything in League Pass, plus three streams at once, in-arena audio and video during commercial breaks, offline downloads and multiview for several games on one screen. Get it if more than one person in the house will watch at the same time.
Team Pass ($13.99/mo)
Every out-of-market game for one team. It saves $3 a month over League Pass, so it's only worth it if you're sure you'll never want another matchup.
Where national games air in 2026-27
Under the NBA's current media deal, which started in 2025-26, national games are split across three companies. These games are blacked out on League Pass live, so you'll need the matching service to watch them:
| Night | Network | Stream it on |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Peacock / NBCSN | Peacock |
| Tuesday | NBC / Peacock (doubleheaders) | Peacock |
| Wednesday | ESPN | ESPN app (ESPN Unlimited) |
| Thursday | Prime Video (from January) | Prime Video |
| Friday | Prime Video and ESPN | Prime Video, ESPN app |
| Saturday | Prime Video (afternoon), ABC (night) | Prime Video, ESPN app |
| Sunday | ABC (afternoon), NBC / Peacock (night, from January 24) | ESPN app, Peacock |

A live TV service that carries ESPN, ABC and NBC, such as YouTube TV, covers the ESPN, ABC and NBC games but not Peacock-only or Prime Video games. Our live TV comparison shows which services carry which channels. For every way to watch, including free over-the-air games, see how to watch the NBA without cable.
Which games are blacked out
- Your local team's games, which air on your regional sports network or the team's own streaming service. They appear on League Pass on demand after a delay, typically about 72 hours.
- National games on ESPN, ABC, NBC, Peacock, Prime Video and NBA TV. These show up on demand the next day, after 6 a.m. ET.
League Pass uses your location, from your IP address or ZIP code, to decide what's local. Using a VPN to get around blackouts breaks the NBA's terms of use and can get your account suspended.
Watching your local team
If you live in your team's market, League Pass won't help. Use the regional sports network through cable or a live TV service, or the team's own streaming service where one exists. Several teams now sell a direct stream; Suns+, for example, lists $14.99 a month or $109.99 a season for eligible local viewers. Check your team's website.
The cheapest way to watch, by fan type
| You are | Get | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A fan of one out-of-market team | Team Pass + Peacock + Prime Video | Team Pass covers their regular games; the big national games are on NBC/Peacock and Prime |
| A fan of the whole league | League Pass + Peacock + Prime Video + ESPN | League Pass has the most games, but the marquee games are national |
| A fan of your local team | Team's stream or RSN + national services | League Pass blacks out your team live |
| A casual fan | Peacock + Prime Video + a live TV service with ESPN/ABC | National games cover the biggest matchups |
Is NBA League Pass worth it?
It's worth it if you follow a team outside your market or watch several games a week. At $109.99 a season, 40 games works out to under $3 each.
It's poor value if your team is local, since those games are blacked out, or if you mostly watch the big national games, which sit on ESPN, NBC, Peacock and Prime Video instead. For those, a live TV service is the better buy; see the best live TV streaming services. The Athletic estimates an enthusiastic fan will spend $661 this season to see everything across all of them.
The most common complaint on Reddit and in app reviews is the app itself: slow-loading streams and laggy menus, especially on Apple TV. A newer streaming device and a wired connection help, and our speed test shows whether your internet is the bottleneck.
Where to buy League Pass
- NBA app or NBA.com. All four plans, and the only place that includes NBA TV with League Pass.
- Prime Video Channels. League Pass and Premium as monthly add-ons to Prime Video. Prime Video has run first-month discounts, such as half off ($8.50) during October Prime Day.
- TV providers. DISH, DirecTV, Spectrum and some other cable companies sell it on your TV bill. If it buffers, see how to fix League Pass buffering.
- Not YouTube TV. YouTube TV stopped selling League Pass after September 30, 2025.
Discounts and how to pay less
- Student discount: verified college students get over 40% off through UNiDAYS, about $9.99 a month for League Pass and $14.99 for Premium.
- Free months through a sportsbook: the NBA doesn't run a standard free trial, but DraftKings is giving new customers three months of League Pass, plus $200 in bonus bets paid over 21 days, after a first bet of $5 or more at odds of -500 or longer. No promo code is needed. You must be 21+ and in a state where DraftKings operates. Read the terms before signing up; it's a betting account, not a streaming deal.
- Team Pass if you only follow one team.
- Wait for a sale. The NBA usually cuts season prices after the All-Star break and has run Black Friday discounts. Our Black Friday deals page will list any offer we find.
- Prime Video first-month offers come and go; check before you subscribe direct.
- Cancel after the regular season. Play-In and playoff games are on national TV.
Internet speed, data and devices
An HD game needs a steady 5 to 8 Mbps; plan on 25 Mbps or more for each stream if you use Premium's multiview or watch on several TVs at once. Live sports show buffering more than shows do, so test with our speed test during a game, and see how to boost your Wi-Fi if the TV is far from the router. A full season adds up: three HD games a week is roughly 20 to 30 GB, which matters on capped plans or 5G home internet.
League Pass runs on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Google TV, Xbox, PlayStation, most smart TVs, phones, tablets and web browsers. If your TV's app is slow, a streaming device usually fixes it.
How to cancel League Pass
League Pass renews automatically. If you bought it from the NBA, cancel in your NBA account settings on NBA.com or in the app. If you bought it through Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or Prime Video Channels, cancel through that store. Cancel before the next billing date to avoid another charge.
