Our verdict

AT&T Internet Air is a single plan: $55/mo with AutoPay and paperless billing, plus taxes and fees, and the price doesn't rise after the first year. You don't need AT&T wireless, setup is $0 and done yourself, and the All-Fi Hub is included.

AT&T's own figures put typical speeds at 90–300 Mbps down and 8–30 up, with about 75% of customers at or above that range. It's also AT&T's replacement for copper DSL as it retires its old network.

Read the network-management terms: if your usage contributes to congestion, AT&T may sharply reduce your speed for at least 30 minutes. As a primary line in strong AT&T coverage it's fine; compare T-Mobile and Verizon 5G Home, both $50 or $35 with a phone line.
