Verizon One review: $70 for a phone line and home internet
What the $70 plan includes, which internet you get at your address, and when two separate bills still cost less.
Verizon One is $70 a month for one mobile line on the Simplicity plan plus home internet, with taxes, fees, router and installation included. The internet is Fios 500 Mbps, 5G Home Plus or Home Internet Lite Extra depending on your address. It's for new customers who bring their own phone, and it saves about $20–$25 a month over buying the same services separately.

What Verizon One includes
Verizon One puts one mobile line and home internet on a single bill for $70 a month with Auto Pay and paper-free billing. Verizon says taxes, fees, the router and professional installation are inside that price. Verizon lists it as a plan for new customers who bring their own phone.
- Mobile: one line on Verizon's Simplicity plan with unlimited talk, text and data. Activation and upgrade fees are waived.
- Home internet: Fios 500 Mbps, 5G Home Plus or Verizon Home Internet Lite Extra, depending on what reaches your address.
- Equipment and setup: router and professional installation included.
- Extra lines: $30/mo each.
- Rewards: 3% back each month in Verizon Dollars, Verizon's loyalty currency.
What you get for $70, by address
The price is the same everywhere, but the internet half is not. Which product you get depends on your address, and the gap between them is large.
| Internet you get | Typical speed | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Fios 500 Mbps | Up to 500 Mbps down and up | Fiber. The best result; most of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Fios area |
| 5G Home Plus | About 200–500 Mbps down | Fixed wireless over Verizon's 5G; speed depends on signal |
| Home Internet Lite Extra | 10–25 Mbps, slower after 200 GB | Only where Fios and 5G Home aren't offered; see our Home Internet Lite guide |

Is it cheaper than buying them separately?
Usually, if you'd get Fios or 5G Home. Bought on their own at current prices, Fios 500 Mbps is $65/mo and 5G Home Plus is $60/mo, both with Auto Pay. Verizon advertises its Simplicity plan at $30 per line. That's about $95 for Fios 500 plus a line, or $90 for 5G Home Plus plus a line, before any bundle discount, against $70 for Verizon One.
| Setup | Monthly price | vs. Verizon One |
|---|---|---|
| Verizon One (Fios 500 or 5G Home Plus + 1 line) | $70 | — |
| Fios 500 + Simplicity line, bought separately | About $95 | About $25 more |
| 5G Home Plus + Simplicity line, bought separately | About $90 | About $20 more |
| Fios 300 ($30) + a $25 prepaid line elsewhere | About $55 | About $15 less |

The last row is the catch. If 300 Mbps is enough for your home and you're happy on a cheap prepaid or MVNO phone plan, two separate bills can still cost less than Verizon One. The bundle wins when you want Verizon's own mobile network, faster than 300 Mbps at home, or one bill.
Verizon One vs. Xfinity and Spectrum bundles
Xfinity and Spectrum both sell mobile service on Verizon's network and often give a year of mobile free with home internet. The first year can cost less than Verizon One. After the free year, the mobile line is charged at the regular rate, and cable internet prices usually rise after the promo period, so compare the second-year total, not the first bill. See internet and phone bundle discounts for every provider's bundle.

Who should skip it
- Existing Verizon customers. Verizon One is listed for new customers. If you already have a Verizon phone plan, adding home internet with the Mobile + Home discount is usually the route; see Fios deals for new vs. existing customers.
- You want a new phone deal. Verizon One is a bring-your-own-phone plan. Verizon's biggest phone discounts are on other plans; see Verizon Black Friday deals.
- Your address only gets Home Internet Lite Extra. At 10–25 Mbps you may be better off with T-Mobile Home Internet or Starlink if they reach you.
- You need multi-gig fiber. Verizon One's Fios tier is 500 Mbps. For 1 Gig or faster, buy Fios on its own.
