Astound Business
Regional cable from $54.95/mo, or $44.95 bundled with business phone, with no contract, a one-year price lock and a $500 gift card on 1 Gig. Watch the network fee.
Our verdict
Astound Business is the business side of the former RCN, Grande, Wave and enTouch networks. Internet-only plans run 110 Mbps for $54.95/mo, 500 Mbps for $74.95 and 1 Gig for $184.95. Bundle Astound business phone with AutoPay and each drops $10, to $44.95, $64.95 and $174.95. All come with a one-year price lock, no contract, unlimited data and free installation online, and 1 Gig includes a $500 gift card paid after 120 days in good standing.
Read the fine print. The standard price applies after 12 months, and Astound adds a Network Access and Maintenance Fee of up to $21.85/mo that isn't a tax. The bundle offer runs through Oct 31, 2026.
The shared plans are cable, so uploads trail downloads. For symmetrical speeds or an uptime guarantee, Astound's enterprise team sells dedicated fiber, SD-WAN, cloud and voice on a quoted term agreement. Support is 24/7 and local, and PCMag Business Choice readers ranked Astound the top business ISP. Where it reaches your office, it's a fair alternative to Comcast Business and Spectrum Business once you add the fee.
What Astound Business sells
The plans with published prices (110 Mbps to 1 Gig, $54.95 to $184.95) are High Speed Internet. Astound says the service reaches 2 Gbps, but faster tiers aren't priced online, so ask for a quote. Business Class and Dedicated Internet Access are also priced by quote.
Wi-Fi Pro
Astound's managed Wi-Fi covers up to 5,000 sq ft indoors with mesh access points (up to five wirelessly, or seven wired through the Pro Gateway, which also acts as a firewall). You can run up to four networks, such as staff and guests, block phishing and malicious sites automatically, and manage it all from an app. Weatherproof outdoor access points cover patios and lots. One static IP can be set up on the network.
Phone, TV and the rest
Astound also sells business phone lines, hosted VoIP with three calling plans, SIP trunking and calling through Microsoft Teams, plus business TV, business mobile and SD-WAN. Bundling phone takes $10/mo off each internet plan. If you're choosing a phone system, see internet for business VoIP.
Who it's for
Astound fits small offices and shops in its markets that want no contract, a year of fixed pricing and local support. If uploads matter (video production, large cloud backups), compare AT&T Business Fiber or Verizon Fios Business where they reach you. For a backup line, see business internet failover.
