What we like
✓Local Priority: 50 GB $55, 500 GB $155, 1 TB $280, 2 TB $530
✓Public IP and dashboard included on every plan

Worth knowing
–After your priority data runs out, speeds drop to 1 Mbps down and 0.5 Mbps up
–The $55 plan suits backup, not a busy office; most offices need 500 GB to 1 TB
–Hardware is sold separately
–Satellite links can drop briefly, so pair it with another line for VoIP-heavy work

Our verdict

Starlink restructured its business plans around priority data. Local Priority runs $55/mo for 50 GB, $155 for 500 GB, $280 for 1 TB and $530 for 2 TB, with extra blocks at $25 per 50 GB or $125 per 500 GB. Every plan includes network priority, a public IP, a dashboard and a service level agreement.

The allowance matters. Once priority data runs out, speeds fall to 1 Mbps down and 0.5 Mbps up, so the $55 plan is really a backup line. A typical small office using email, cloud apps and video calls needs 500 GB to 1 TB.

With the Performance Kit reaching 400+ Mbps, Starlink Business is a strong option for rural sites, construction and pop-ups, and as satellite failover behind a wired connection.

Starlink Business hardware and who it's for

Hardware

Starlink lists Business hardware from $349 for the Standard kit, the same dish sold for homes. The rugged Performance kit is $1,999: an aluminum dish for harsh sites and vehicles that runs on AC or DC power, with a 3-year warranty, a 25 m cable and a choice of mount. Starlink says it delivers 400+ Mbps today, with gigabit plan upgrades planned without new hardware.

Global Priority

For boats and use outside the US, Global Priority runs from $250 to $2,150 a month. Both Local and Global Priority include the SLA and unlimited data at 1 Mbps down and 0.5 Mbps up after priority data runs out.

Who it's for

Rural sites, farms, construction and pop-ups where nothing wired reaches, and offices that want satellite failover on a separate network from their fiber or cable. For prices, see the new Starlink plans; for setup, see business internet failover.

Is T-Mobile's satellite service the same as Starlink Business?

No. T-Mobile's T-Satellite uses Starlink satellites to let phones text and use some apps where there's no cell signal. It isn't an internet connection for an office. Starlink Business is a dish and router that provide broadband to a site. See Starlink Business vs. Residential.

Frequently asked

How much does Starlink Business cost?

Local Priority plans are $55/mo (50 GB), $155 (500 GB), $280 (1 TB) and $530 (2 TB). Global Priority, for maritime and international use, starts at $250. Hardware is separate.

What happens when priority data runs out?

You keep unlimited data, but at up to 1 Mbps download and 0.5 Mbps upload. You can add blocks of priority data in your account.

Does it support a static IP?

Every business plan includes a public IP.

Is there an SLA?

Yes. Starlink's business service plans include a service level agreement.

How much is Starlink Business hardware?

Starlink lists Business hardware from $349 for the Standard kit. The rugged Performance kit, for harsh sites and vehicles, is $1,999.

Is Starlink Business available at my business?

Availability is set address by address, even inside the same city. Check every provider at your address to see whether Starlink Business reaches your building and what else is there.

Do I need backup internet with Starlink Business?

If your business can't go offline (card payments, phones, cloud apps), yes. A cheap 5G line such as T-Mobile Business Internet Backup keeps you online during an outage. See our business failover guide for setup.

Starlink Business vs. HughesNet Business: which is better?

Starlink has much lower latency and faster speeds, so video calls and cloud apps work far better. HughesNet costs less up front but is slower and laggy, so it suits light use only. Read our HughesNet Business review.
