The short answer

Disney+ Premium (no ads) went from $18.99 to $21.49 a month, and Disney+ with ads from $11.99 to $12.49. If you already subscribe, you pay the new price from your first bill on or after Oct. 21, 2026. The cheapest fix is the Disney+ and Hulu bundle, which costs 50 cents more than Disney+ alone, or a provider perk if your internet or phone plan offers one.

When the new price hits your bill

New subscribers have paid the new prices since Sept. 23, 2026. If you signed up before that, Disney applies the new rate in your first billing cycle on or after Oct. 21, 2026. Annual subscribers move to the new price when the plan renews.

How to pay less for Disney+

  • Add Hulu. The Disney+ and Hulu bundle costs 50 cents more than Disney+ alone: $12.99 with ads, $21.99 without. Buying both Premium plans separately would cost $42.98.
  • Switch to the ad tier. Dropping from Premium to Disney+ with ads saves $9 a month, or $108 a year. You lose 4K and ad-free viewing.
  • Check your TV package. Spectrum includes Disney+ with ads at no extra cost on TV Select Signature and higher packages. It starts a new Disney+ account, so you cancel your old one.
  • Use a phone or internet perk. Verizon sells a Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ (with ads) perk for $12 a month on myPlan and myHome, including Fios. Total Wireless has included Disney+ Premium with its Total 5G+ Unlimited plan. Xfinity StreamSaver packages also include the Disney+ bundle.
  • Rotate services. Cancel between shows you want to watch and resubscribe for a month at a time.

Perk terms change often, so check the current offer on your account before you cancel a direct subscription. To see whether bundling saves you money overall, read bundling vs buying separately and internet and phone bundle discounts.

How Disney+ compares now

At $21.49, Disney+ Premium costs more than Netflix Standard ($19.99) but less than Netflix Premium ($26.99) and HBO Max Premium ($22.99). The $12.49 ad tier is $3.50 more than ad-supported Netflix and Paramount+, and $1.50 more than HBO Max Basic with Ads, according to CNN.
