Internet deals with a Visa gift card

A $500 Visa reward card
Short answer

For home internet, Frontier gives a $100 to $300 Visa card, Astound up to $300, Verizon Fios a $50 to $200 Amazon card on 1 Gig and faster, Starry a $200 Mastercard, and AT&T Fiber and T-Mobile Fiber $100 each. Business offers go higher: up to $500 from AT&T Business Fiber and Astound Business. Most cards arrive 60 to 120 days after install, must be claimed, and expire about 6 months after they're issued.

Before you pick a plan for the card

  • Do the math over a year. A $500 card on a $184.95 plan doesn't beat a $54.95 plan unless you need the speed. Subtract the card from 12 months of bills and compare that.
  • You usually have to claim it. AT&T and Astound email redemption instructions after install or after 120 days. Miss the email and you lose the card.
  • Cards expire. Astound's virtual Visa is valid for 6 months; T-Mobile's prepaid card also expires in 6 months. Unused money is forfeited.
  • Keep proof. Screenshot the offer and your order confirmation. Missing cards are a common complaint, and the screenshot is what support asks for.
  • Cancel early and you may lose it. Most offers require the account to stay active and in good standing until the card is issued.

Questions

Is there an AT&T $200 gift card promotion?

Not on home internet right now. AT&T Fiber gives a $100 Visa Reward Card on 1 Gig and 5 Gig when you order online. AT&T Business Fiber gives $300 to $500 depending on speed.

How do I get the $200 gift card from Verizon?

Order Fios 1 Gig or faster online. 65 days after activation a redemption tile appears in My Verizon or the My Fios app. You then have 60 days to claim it, and your account must be in good standing with a past-due balance under $50.

How long does an internet gift card take to arrive?

Usually 60 to 120 days. Frontier requires 90 days on the same plan, and Astound Business 120 days in good standing. Then you get an email with redemption steps.

Do internet reward cards expire?

Yes. Most prepaid and virtual cards expire about 6 months after they are issued, and unused money is forfeited.
