How to cancel Spectrum internet
Spectrum has no contracts, so cancelling is free. The catch is timing: Spectrum doesn't prorate the last month, and unreturned equipment is billed.
Call Spectrum at 1-833-267-6094 or cancel in person at a Spectrum Store. You can't cancel online. There is no early termination fee on residential plans, but monthly service is not prorated, so set your end date just before your next bill. Return leased equipment within 10 days and keep the receipt.

- Find your bill date in the My Spectrum app and schedule the end date just before it.
- Set up your new service first. See what reaches your address.
- Move Spectrum Mobile lines first. Spectrum Mobile requires Spectrum Internet, so port those numbers before you cancel.
- Call 1-833-267-6094 or visit a Spectrum Store. Say you want to cancel; you'll be offered a lower price first.
- Get a confirmation number, the end date and return instructions in an email.
Return the equipment
Return the modem, router and any TV boxes and remotes at a Spectrum Store, or by the shipping method Spectrum gives you. Doing it at a store, with a printed receipt, is the safest way to avoid an unreturned-equipment charge. If you bought your own modem, keep it.
